Peanut chutney | Groundnut Chutney| Palli Pachadi

Peanut chutney is a very nice blend of peanut, onion and garlic. I stopped having idli with coconut chutney once I came across this recipe. It is seriously fingering licking good. A recipe you must try if you never tried Groundnut chutney before.

Ingredients

  • 200 gm peanuts
  • 2-3 Red chilies
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
  • 1 tablespoon oil chutney
  • 1 pinch asafetida powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds.
  • 5-6 curry leaves.
  • 1-2 red chilies Optional

Instructions

  • Heat the pan and add peanuts, roast it till it become light golden brown.(1-2 minutes)
  • Heat oil in Pan and add asafetida,onion,garlic,red chilies and peanuts.
  • Cook for 2 minutes( Medium heat)
  • Keep it aside for few minutes( till the mixture cool down) . Grid the mixture and make smooth paste.
  • For seasning, heat the oil in pan , add asafetida , mustard seeds,red chilies and curry leaves.
  • Pour the mixture on chutney and mix it well.
  • Palli pachadi is ready in no time.
