Ingredients: Gather Your Fresh, Flavorful Components
Here’s what you’ll need to create these irresistible corn fritters:
• 4 cups corn (freshly shucked for the best flavor)
• 2 tablespoons gram flour (besan)
• 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
• 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
• 1 teaspoon chili powder
• 1/2 cup coriander, chopped
• 1 tablespoon green chilies, chopped
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 1 tomato, chopped
• 1/2 cup spring onion, chopped
• 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
• 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
• Salt to taste
Instructions: Crispy, Cheesy Corn Fritters in a Few Easy Steps
Step 1: Prep Your Corn
For the best texture and flavor, grate the corn cobs until you achieve a chunky paste. This helps in releasing all the sweet juices that make the fritters so tasty.
Step 2: Mix Your Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the corn paste with all the other ingredients. The gram flour will help bind everything together, while the spices and aromatics like ginger, cumin, and chili add depth to the fritters’ flavor.
Step 3: Fry to Perfection
Heat some oil in a skillet over medium heat. Spoon the corn mixture into the skillet, forming small patties. Fry each side until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Step 4: Serve Hot
Enjoy your corn fritters hot right off the skillet. They pair wonderfully with a tangy tomato sauce or a creamy dip. Add a sprinkle of grated cheese while they’re still hot for an extra touch of indulgence.
